Products / Inventory

Stock you
can audit.

One catalog of products and SKUs, balances on an append-only movement ledger, BOMs that explode cleanly, and reorder points suggested from real demand.

Illustrative product preview. All records and counts are sample data.

What it does

The ledger

Receipts, issues, transfers, counts, and adjustments, each a numbered movement. Posted movements are never edited.

Catalog and BOMs

Products, SKUs, warehouses, and bins shared with the rest of the platform. No second item master.

Planning

Reorder points suggested from measured consumption and real lead times. The value you set always wins.

How it works

  1. 01

    Post a movement

Receipts from purchase orders, restocked returns, transfers, and cycle counts land on the ledger as they happen.

  2. 02

    Value the stock

Moving-average cost per SKU. Opening balances carry a cost and are gated to admins.

  3. 03

    Explode the BOM

Multi-level explosion with effective quantities down the tree, costed from the catalog.

  4. 04

    Reorder on evidence

Planning suggests safety stock, reorder point, and order-up-to level, and shows the source of every input.

Maya AI watches stock.
You approve.

The Low-Stock Reorder Alerter flags SKUs at or below their reorder point nightly, with the shortfall to order, and can draft one requisition per warehouse. A person approves before anything is ordered.

Talk to the team
Can a stock movement be edited after it posts?

No. The ledger is append-only: receipts, issues, adjustments, transfers, cycle counts and reservations are numbered movements, and corrections post as notes or new entries, never edits. Adjustments need elevated permission.

Do we keep a separate item master?

No. Inventory is built on the same products, SKUs and warehouses the rest of the platform uses, so there is no second master to reconcile.

How are reorder points set?

Planning derives demand from measured consumption and lead time from purchase orders actually received, then suggests safety stock, reorder point and order-up-to level. A value you set always wins; an override is never silently recomputed away.

How is stock valued?

Moving-average cost per SKU. Opening balances are seeded with a cost and gated to admins. BOMs are costed from the catalog, with multi-level explosion and cycle rejection.

Can we import our catalog?

Yes. Products and SKUs support CSV import, bulk edit, barcodes, units of measure, and custom attributes you define.

Does Inventory work on its own?

Yes. Inventory is sold as its own module. Run it alone or with Purchasing, Vendors, Logistics, and Production.

Arthiva is invite-only while we build with early customers. Inventory runs on its own or with the rest of the platform.
